My friend brought me an old top break revolver that needs repaired. I think it’s a smith and Wesson, it’s nickel plated and marked 38 S.&W. Ctge. On left side of barrel and ser. no. 412806 on the butt. The black plastic grips have a target emblem with 5 shots in it. The hammer is flat sided and the trigger guard is rounded all around. If I figure out how to add pics I will. I need to ID this gun and find a drawing. It has a broken spring so it would be really good to find a source to buy parts.
Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! It is not a S&W. It is a Harrington & Richardson 5 shot break top. Go to Numrich and look for the spring. They will have a parts breakdown you can reference.
I don't collect these model so I can't give you a value. I do have to say though that they generally run about 1/2 the value of a comprable Smith & Wesson.
