After finishing off two layaways, found another nifty antique to layaway...
A Ballester-Molina 1911-clone...

The lower frame is really based off the Star P,
the slide, barrel & mag based off the Colt 1911 :)

I'll post up some pics after I get it out in a couple months!

I had one awhile back but sold to fund another project. I think it was a great little gun. Only problem was finding original mags even though the regular 1911 mags will fit. Enjoy as I did!!

I have one of those Ballerina Molesters, it's a fun gun. I only feed it ball ammo although I am sure it will work with other stuff.

A great 45. I've had two and they were both in great shooting shape EXCEPT for the barrel link . Extensively worn ( holes get worn larger than pins )on both guns . Barrel hood could almost be pushed out of battery on both but they still shot well. Super simple replacement with standard colt over the counter part and they locked up like a custom. Just something to check then enjoy it

Hmmm...never heard of that one.
It was Argentina's redesign after the Colt Modelo 1927 deal ran out. Got them out of paying royalties.

These were my Argentinian big mouths, now sadly gone.

Here the top one is a Ballester - Molina and the bottom is a Modelo 1927,,, middle one is some other gun.
