Looking at these two mounts for my Ruger. Planning on mountng the 3x9-40mm Burris Fullfield II. I would like the mount to have the scope set high enough to clear the rear peep folded down. I'm not really crazy about having to take the peep off. Do you all think with any of these two mounts, the scope will clear the peep?

Both of these are tall enough to do the job for you. I prefer the Burris mount over the Nikon. I like the mounting nuts on the Burris and the ease of mounting and tightening them with a small torque wrench. My Burris cantilevered mounts do not have the top rail attachments on them. They are plain topped.
Another mount you might want to consider is the Warne XSKEL Cantilevered scope mount. They're exceptionally well made and are light weight. They have them in QD or standard bolt on mounts

It's all about personal choices, and there are so many out there that can fit the shooters needs.
