I also like the older nickel guns. I have just a few including one that I bought new 45 years ago.

BTW, do they still make nickel guns? I have no clue, but it seems most new gun are stainless steel.

Exactly. Stainless and those blasted goodyears. Stainless is ok, but I truly dislike rubber grips unless they're on a hammer or a pair of pliers. Harumph!

I just don't remember when I bought the nickel Model 19. I probably paid too much for it, but it is rare to find one in decent condition

For the record, I have 3 other .357 Combat Magnums in blue. All three have boxes and paperwork. All are in better condition. Here is one (naked):


I say the K-frame .357 is the best overall carry gun.
