Hey everyone, just joined this forum. My name is Rich, I'm 23 and just purchased a S&W M&P .40....In my short list of other guns i have a Ruger .357 Mag revolver, Winchester Model 62 .22 pump action, and a CVZ Optima .50 muzzleloader. Looks forward to any and all the helpful info you guys can provide.

Hi rich that model 62 sounds real interesting. Would you please tell me more about it. As you can tell this forum is very diversified. :)

Welcome Rich. I recently purchased a S&W M&P .40 myself. It's a sweet shooting pistol.

well i don't know alot about it really....it was my dad's originally and he left it to me when he passed away back in september. I can tell you that it's a modernish version of the model 1890, this rifle was made between 1932-1959. So as it sits now, it's at least 40 yrs old but it works like its about 4 yrs old. I do know that my dad bought it brand new when he was a kid and if my memory serves me right, he said he paid $17 for it back in the late 50's.

Rich What ever you do don't ever sell that 62. I sold my model61&62 years ago that was left to me by my dad. they can not be replaced. :cry:

yeah I cant bring myself to ever do that that i forsee in the future....it meant alot to me that he gave it to me and theres nothing that would force me into selling it for any price...sentimential value of something is far greater then any amount of money
