OK.

I had to pull out a new avatar, and that had me looking at my revolvers. :)

So, if we could only have two (3) S&W wheelguns, then which ones (of what we have) would we keep? At least until we think of another one we also want to keep... ;)

PS: Well, OK. we can include one (1) that we don't already own. :ymhug:

PPS: Ok again. This is for two only, but as that doesn't always work, others can be mentioned as "runners up". Kinda like beauty contests. :ymapplause:

Here are all three of my only two (3) guns that would work for me as I shop about town or go camping (no bears): a Centennial type and short barreled K & N frames:

A 640-1 and friends. Gotta have at least one J frame, and the Airweight 642 almost took this spot in my list:

A 3 1/2" .357 eight shooter. I like autos, but figure that if the world spinning 'round and 'round is good enough for Mother Nature, then my only two guns should also.

Besides, if 8 rounds of .45 are good, then 8 rounds of .357 have to be at least as good. My other choice(s) is also .357 and that is good. A lot of goodness here.

I call this the Minigun of Goodness:

What about you guys, here is another chance at this timeless thread....

Kind of silly, but...... M-66-1 2 1/2" and M36 2".....both for protection. THAT is the most important reason for owning a gun!!!! Bob

K-22 and a 4" Python,if I could only keep two REVOLVERS. If only Smiths,then sub a 4" pre-29 for the Colt.

My mod 17 and mod 686. Between a .22 and a .357 should be able to do anything normally needed to be done with a handgun, (but still need a rifle and a shotgun).

Not my "highest valued" but the two S&W's I shoot the most ..... K-22 (pre- 18) & M-586 (no dash).

I use both as "woods walkers" and all-round users, so if I had to choose only two S&W's these would be the ones.

This is really hard and I will probably change my mind as soon as this posts, but my two favorites (right this second) are my 25-2

and my model 60 pro

Ask me again tomorrow and I will tell you something different!

:ymhug: This thread has caused me to change my mind many times but the 22/32 is a very important gun for me.

And I have always been partial to the 3" J Frame such as this Bodyguard Model 49.

Maybe I will change my mind before everyone reads this but that is my answer and I will stick to it today anyway.

I have the same problem, and that is why I fudged the question by allowing "runners up" pistols to be included. Leaving out the 4" M19 and 2" M10 was not easy. Dittos for the 642, like I already mentioned..

But, that just means I can pick a new pair whenever I want. Kind of like having an extra Christmas.

The two I use the most I guess.
4" 29-2
6" five screw K-22

Runners up would be my 4" 629 P&R and my 4" M34 kit gun.

and a whole bunch of also rans...

Yup, not only do we get a runner up, but we can have as many Levers as we want!

My 6" Model 14-3 K-38 Masterpiece (by far my favorite) and
my 4" Model 629-4.
My 4" Model 66-3 is going to be my back-up gun.
If I never carry it, does it really count?
