Howdy all. Just another new guy here from NC. I just recently acquired several handguns after the passing of my father, and I will have some questions to post later on. Other than that, I am 39, was born and raised in Iowa, moved to NC in 2002, I enjoy drag racing, fishing, and am getting all geared up to start doing some shooting again.
Welcome!
As you may know, one of the first laws Algore did {after he invented the internet} was a thing about guy's with the word 'kid' in a screen name having to post pictures
We'll wait a little while before we notify Algore
Welcome from another Midwesterner (East Central Illinois) transplanted to Carolina! I've been here for 29 years, darn near half my life. You've found a very easy-going board here.
Holy cow, I forgot all about posting here! kubvcabo
Yeah, the ~kid~ moniker has probably been outgrown, but its what I use on all the forums I am a member of, my father called me ~kid~ for as long as I can remember, and a dear family member added the ~vishus~ part when I was in HS (I shortened the spelling cuz frankly, I'm too lazy to type it all out.)
As for selling my father's guns, that wont happen. Not now, not ever. As for what they are, he had, and now they are mine, 3 S&W's. Two of which are model 624's in .44 Special (one with what I think is a 6" barrel, the other must be 4 or 4 1/2".) I am pretty sure he bought them around '86 or so. There is also one model 629 in .44 mag. He also had one off brand revolver in .357 mag, but I wont mention it here. The specials had some trigger work done to them, and quite frankly, I really like shooting them. So's not to make the "new guy" thread too long, I will start another thread in one of the appropriate forums.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could
be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
