I am refering to the style with the medailion section being just rounded off into an arch. Like these except for a round butt..... Is there such a thing?

If they don't make them, then what would have been "original" for this revolver if it didn't ship with the MOP grips?

Yeah. We see 'em at flea markets and garage sales all the time. Free states. That's a .38 M&P, Model 1905, 4th Change from 1920/21. I'll gladly give you $80 for those grips even if they are chipped. Original S&W round butt K frame pearls with medallions ain't growin' on trees. Jes sayin'.
I have bought several at flea markets before, sold a few at garage sales before too.

Most likely your gun came with black hard rubber grips like these on my .32 Hand Ejector, but K frame size. Wood grips were available as an option.
