This is my Neko. She's about 12 weeks old. My sister rescued her from a farm near a highway. The tom was orange, queen was gray.
When not sleeping she purrs often. Dotty who died in September was not a purrer. Neko seems to like everyone. Dotty didn't like women.

Why do people love cats?
Because they are purrrrr-fect!

I inherited cats when I met Amy. I was allergic to cats before Amy but I got over that fast. I think we have around 20 or 30 total, 10 inside, the rest outside. Have one, Sheba, a stray, who follows me everywhere and rats popcorn when I do. She also likes dog food better than cat food and eats with the big black dog from the same bowl he does.

The only place where the cats aren't allowed is in the bedroom but, the big black dog sleeps with us in there every night so I get to listen to him snore along with Amy...

Hope she don't read this post. If she does, I'll be in the doghouse.

Laying next to my chair right now and Sheba is curled up next to his tummy.

Put me down as a late in life cat lover. I used to be allergic and then we rescued one; I eventually became tolerant, then not allergic at all. One became three and now I don't think they even remember their life on the street.

Just had a young orange and white cat wander in. She wants to come in the house and has a flea collar and a regular collar on. I don't want her to starve so I have been feeding her. I think she thinks she is a dog...follows me every where when I'm outside. I have asked all the neighbors if they're missing a cat...no takers. I'm not a cat person but this little feline seems to have adopted me. I will not let her come in the house. I will take her to the local "no kill" shelter if no one claims her. I'm not hard hearted...I just don't want a darned cat!

I was not a cat person but a little cat came into the shed where I was working on leather stuff and would just hang out. I was surprised she wasnt skittish about the air brush compressor. She visited every day for more than week. I think she was living under the house. Of course I started to feed it and give her water and then .. I figured she may as well live inside. It gets hot out there. Guess that makes me a cat person now ... meh .. I been called worse!

Been here 3 years now.

Dogs have owners - cats have staff.

And they think we need supervising.
Here I am with my (now) old guy Kian in August 2009 - he was born 3/18/2001, and is still around and pretty healthy (have to watch his diet to keep kidneys under control, diagnosed a year ago and still doing great) - although he gets more demanding and possessive every day.

The way it works in my house, she's tolerant of me.

Update: Well I have not found a home for this cat...Having said that I have named her Sheba. I still have not brought her inside as of yet but she's been good company and when I'm outside she follows me around like a puppy dog!
