Hello I have an early triple lock cal. 455 is strange that it has an adjustable rear sight and a pin front sight, as well as a checkering trigger. can you tell me what kind of model it could be? I once read of a "Bisley - model" but unfortunately found no pictures. It has some English proof marks. The Ser. No. is 1519 Thanks in advance Christian

Oh Boy! You know how to make an entrance. Others will be along to help. Don’t go anywhere, I’m looking forward to this. BTW, is that the serial from the bottom of the grip frame?

Putting the lanyard loop through the serial number might be a problem. Makes the revolver illegal?
The sights have been modified as well as the trigger (after market). I think it's a very cool old S&W triple lock.

The SN. looks to me like it says 4054. I got this from back of cylinder, also should be written on the barrel flat. Sights and trigger job are aftermarket but I have seen both done just like that before on old guns.
