Your .44s date to 1956 - '57. A wonderful pair of revolvers you have there. As for a history , a fine pair like that would warrant the cost of a factory letter.
The finest pair I've seen since Dolly Parton was at the County fair.

I recently inherited these. Ser#s; S172381 and S172561. cylinder and butt plates match. Ser# S172561 has an overstamp and need to find out f it was done at the factory. Also would like to know history. See attachments
Beautiful guns. If I had them in my shop, I would ask at least $2250 to $2500 each. Don't let anyone steal them from you.
