Looking to buy a older. Model 10 online. I put a bid on one with a pinned 4" barrel and serial #c3762296. I do not what dash it is. Can any one help me get a date for this one?:)

too many numbers in that sn..

the C series went from 1948 - 1967 C1 - C999999

You should only have 6 numbers after the letter C. That said and going by the first 6 numbers after the letter C puts the date at between 1954-56.

Thanks to the welcome from all you folks! I kinda got lost but I finally found my thread. It looks like this model 10 is old as me, but in better condition. I did have too many serial numbers C376296 is correct. I purchased it yesterday and it should be here next week.

Hello and welcome. Very nice buy.

Technically, this is a Military & Police model. It would become the Model 10 in just a year or two. Commonly referred to as a Pre Model 10.

It looks to be in good shape. The grips are not original and are much later, though they appear to be from the factory and do do look similar to the style that it would have had.
