No, not for me, I'm way past the "Health and Fitness" thread. My brother picked this up yesterday, he has been looking for the 'right' model 36 for some time and this one fit the bill nicely. As close as I could come is 1961 to 1966, what do you think? Serial (no J) 383XXX

The book shows:
1962 - 295000
1969 - 786544

The latch changed in '66 I think, so you're in the ballpark. I bet Guy can narrow it down a bit.

Nice piece. I'm jealous.

Thank You Guy, my brother will appreciate it. Ever since my brother was a rookie with the Phoenix PD, he has wanted one. By the time he could have one issued to him, the department had switched to Glocks. Tiny, two finger Glocks for Detectives. He bought the little Glock from the Dept when he retired, bought a model 60 to, but neither one was a Smith and Wesson Model 36. His itch has been scratched.

Hey Azmick, that's an awesome find.
I'm hoping to pickup a 36 no dash, in the box and everything with it sometime this week.
The shop took one in trade, and I'm going to do whatever I can to get it before it hits the shelf.
