These are my favorite 38 special revolvers. A 1969 model 15-3 and a 1981 model 64-3. Unbeatable accuracy, great balance, not too heavy to haul around and you can shoot them all day without beating up your hands.

I have a few revolvers in 38 special...my 360, 638, 64-8 and 67-5. My outright favorite has to be the 67-5. Great to shoot and on target with a nice trigger.

Mark I'll be happy to facilitate your deal with Curt by giving you $100 for that old worn out Smolt.

Used police trade ins aren't usually that bad but they usually have worn finish.
Model 65 police trade-ins here in Tucson are selling for $450-$500 for 4 inchers and $700-$750 for 3 inchers right now depending on condition, and that is about all they have in stock. Glad I got my 3" model 65 at retail around '85. Can't afford one now.

The crazy thing about my 3 inch 65, 64s is I got them all at ok prices. My 65 with box and everything I paid $825 at the start of this lunacy. I paid $475 for the 64 with box and papers in july time frame off gunbroker (shocker) to me I won it. The other 64 I bought for buy now on gunbroker for $600 ; it had packs on it. Plus like $30 shipping and $25 transfer fee for both of the 64. 65 locally no fees
