Very nice! Looks like a lot of life left in it.
I bought my 28-2 brand new in 1981 and it has had over 30,000 rounds of full power .357 Magnum ammo through it. Never fired a .38 Special in it; if I want to shoot .38s I shoot them in a .38. My 28-2 has never had the side plate off or had anything break. They were made to stand up to a lot of shooting. The factory finish is not shiny and flashy but it is durable. The last time I fired it (2010) it shot 2" at 25 yd. and 5" at 50. I can't hold any better than that.
Great looking Model 28 you got there! I have two, one is stock for 357 and 38 Special while the other one has had a caliber change by way of a 6" Model 1955 45acp barrel and cylinder! Can't help but love both of them!
