Hello, I have this beautiful .44 Magnum revolver, with 8" barrel. The Serial Number is N424xxx and it is a model 29-2. Can anyone help me with year it was made and value? I do not have original box. My Dad passed away years ago and left a few pieces like this one. My brother wants to buy from my Mom but we want to be fair and make sure Mom gets what it's worth. Thank you for any support.

If you open the cylinder under the hinge you see 29-# . If you tell us what that # is, we can help you value it more accurately. I'd guess a 29-2 and in pristine condition like that, at least $1500. If it's a 29-1. considerably more.

The serial number places it in the 1977 - 1978 time frame. $1200 - $1500 would be a fair price range for this gun.
