We are moving to another part of Va. where we live now. Should I unload all the loaded magazines before we move or just keep them separated from the guns? I'm thinking that as long as the guns are in cases and the loaded magazines are stored in ammo cans I should be ok to transport across the state. What say you.

How long is it going to take you to move, and what are you going to do, along the way ?
Don't waste any time with this, get it done.

I have a carry permit. The trip will only take about 2 1/2 hrs. I just want to be very careful not to break any transporting laws. One can never be too careful in these trying times. Local law enforcement around here are on edge , so I assume that the Va. State Police and local sheriff depts. are feeling this across the state.

Even if they are, why would they be stopping you and searching your vehicle?
