I recently purchased a model 66-1 that shows no sign of excessive wear but in double action only the cylinder stop will drop but before it clears the cylinder slot it moves back in and locks the cylinder. It only does this in double action and not all the time. The previous owner put Wilson Combat springs in it and I tested the single action trigger pull and it is only 1.5 lb. I like a light trigger but that is a bit too light so does anyone think the light spring could be causing my problem or should I look for something else?
Thanks

I am not sure, but I would bet on the replacement springs to be the problem. Put factory springs back in it and I bet that will solve your problem.

I ask the previous owner to bring me the original springs. I thought that would be the best place to start. By the way I assume by your user name that you are from Tennessee. I am also a Tennessean. Thanks for your response.
