Was cleaning My model 36 and found the cylinder would not release all the time. Everything looks fine, the gun was NIB when I bought it , since then I’ve put about 50 rounds through it without any problems.
The gun is clean and cylinder seems to operate fine.
When the cylinder locks up I cycle the hammer/trigger a few times and then the cylinder will release. Everything has a lite coat of oil.
Any thoughts will be appreciated
Thanks

Could be the ejector rod has backed out. Check it carefully, and remember it's left handed threads.
