Have a Model 34 got in a tradeneglected.Stripped down and trying to reassemble,but finding some variations from all the info i've found.1.thumbpiece for cylinder release is held on by a screw into the bolt;all illustrations i've found call for a male threaded bolt and a female threaded nut to hold on the thumbpiece.2.On the ejector rod,everything tells me there should be a "gas ring" and an "extractor rod collar".When disassembled,i DO have a small tapered collar on the ejector rod,not sure which it is and what i MAY be missing.BTW,contacted S&W about serial number,waiting for reply as to age.Anyone else seen any variations on one of these?
