I noticed that we have fans around here for the older S&W short barrel. I have two Model 27 3 1/2" revolvers (all matching w/ box). I've had 'em a long time and have tested them, but I have never holstered them.

This is a nickel one shipped 3-14-60. It will be 60 years old in a few weeks.

My 27 collection is small- but I like the snoot a little longer ;)

5" pre 27 ( in Nickel, of course)

I happen to have a pair of 3.5 inch 27-2's. The Blue gun is from 1967 and the Nickel gun is from 1977.







I also have some longer barrel ones.

No Dash, shipped with "Coke" grips.

Very Nice. I have a couple of the nickel revolvers. This is a Model 27 (shipped 11-22-60):





I also have a nickel 5-screw (shipped 2-11-1955). It just hit it's 65th birthday. :D

WOW!! I have gotten dehydrated looking at those 27’s. I have gotten some water, but an IV May be necessary. They are just beautiful! Hank

Beautiful!...Just Beautiful! Some great examples of 27's. Must clean up drool from keyboard. :)

Recently sold this one. Miss it already.


From Austin Police Dept, Marked ADP 261. Not many PD's issued 3 1/2" 27's.


My Favorite, near mint condition 1950, with steer head ivories.


A five inch 27-1 that snuck in with these short bbls.
