This was shipped April of 1962. OK condition and nothing special except the dash-one.

Any 3 1/2" Model 27 is "special." Beautiful gun. Had the chance to buy one many years ago (mid 1980's) from a pawn shop for $200.00!!!! but had just bought something else and couldn't get it. Hope to get one in the future. Thanks for showing it.

The -1 is certainly seldom seen along with the non model marked 4 screw frame. There was a pretty narrow window of time for both. Congratulations on getting a great example of S&Ws production.

I have seen and held this one in person (at last Atlanta area meeting) and the pictures do not do it justice. The balance and overall feel are exceptional. Just a true work of art like many of the older tool workers were. Thanks for posting again.

Congrats on owning a truly fine weapon. Any short barreled Model 27 is special. The style, with that fine top strap checking, balance, grips and craftsmanship make it so but the best part is only you can have the pleasure of owning it and shooting it. I have a few Model 27s but all are longer barreled versions. Thanks for sharing, I may just have to go and crack open my safe and fondle my 27s. Does that sound kinda weird in the Old Joe Biden kind of way? Never mind forget I asked.

Here’s a couple of mine; The top nickel one is an ex Florida Highway Patrol Gun. Those FHP guys had ugly cars but they liked their S&W revolvers.

Sweet Georgia Brown! That is a beauty. If that one's "nothing special", you would turn up your nose at everything in my safe. Put that thing in one of Leo's flowerdy holsters and go to anyone's BBQ.
