I guess someone had a .44 and wanted a .45. Frame is from the 1920's. What's the serial numbers under the barrel and on the face of the cylinder?

Logo on left side was restarted in 1921~. So, maybe '21 or early '22. I have a lower numbered 2nd, 21772 with Made in USA, that shipped in July 1924. Sideplate looks swaged to the frame, but it could be from a later gun and well fitted. Have you checked the assembly numbers on it against the frame? IIRC, the large logo didn't come out until 1936? Lots of questions about your gun.

Is there a star stamped at the serial number on the butt or on the butt frame? Is there a date like 7.51 on the left side toe of the grip frame?
