I have been getting light primer strikes with my handloads shooting double action. They touch off fine on the second strike. The primers are CCI. I tried seating the primers as deep as possible with my RCBS hand primer, no change. Then I seated them with less force. Still no good. I then bought a new mainspring from Wolff. That was even worse. Any ideas here?

Some times primers can come from the factory a little harder than other. i have had problems with CCI primers in the past. Also. Winchester seem to work fine with on failure in about 120 rounds .. i also have problems with Fiocchi rounds. Make sure that your spring tensions screw is tight and make sure that your firing pin hole is clean and firing pin channel

Only other possibility is Hammer Bind in which case you need to completly clean the lock work of the revolver sear area and hammer boss area .

Good Luck
