Just picked up a 13-2. Mechanically it is excellent with a tight lockup and very smooth DA and SA.

My question is, what causes this type of discoloration of the finish? I've seen it before and have a Python with similar "stains". Just wondering what may have caused them.

I think/thought blood was much more corrosive and caused pitting.
similar to salt water, either one will trash "Blue" either way that one didn't move until it was dry looking at the "drip splatter"
