I bought this 4in 34-1 last week. I had a choose between it and a 18-3 with a non numbered box. The little gun is in near perfect condition. It doesn't show to have been fired. I think it has been a safe queen. Now I have to decide if I keep it in the safe.or shoot it some.
I've got 4 very good shooters in the safe so I've got more than I can keep in practice with. This is the only small 22 I have. Here is a pic of it and the box.

Easy for me to say, but my opinion is that since apparently none or your other shooters are a J frame Smith, you should take this beauty out and enjoy it. Mine has a 4" barrel too and it shoots like it is a much bigger revolver. Great training tool, especially if you have a J frame in a center fire caliber that you carry sometimes. I made the mistake of using mine to start training my wife and now I have a hard time getting it back.
Of course to maintain enabler status, I have to tell you to save up and get a model 18 too. Can't have too many nice .22's.

It's a beauty! We like shooting ours. Too much fun to be just left in the safe.
