the 10-4 10-5 and 10-6 started in 1962
the 10-7 started in 1977

But, if you post the s/n, x'ing out the last few numbers, because that is a terrible, horrible, unforgiveable thing to do  ...I, or someone elso can give you a ship date...or close to it

Anybody know what year a 10-5 serial # D8394XX was made?

it would appear to be late-ish 1976

Nice guns. While out at the Peach Orchard last weekend, I shot one of my two inch barreled Model 10 revolvers. They are definately a fun gun to shoot.

Always enjoy seeing as well as shooting model 10 snub revolvers. I bought my original one back in the early sixties, ostensibly for my wife as a home defence gun; made the purchase easier. I started shooting it and it's sobriquet as a "Belly Gun" was soon disproved. I have seldom been without one since.

Thanks! I haven't fired it yet - just got it yesterday. It's a beautiful gun - It is my first blued gun - always had stainless and/or nickel, but I may never go back.

Kazo,

Very nice! I have a 19-4 in nickel, and I have always preferred either stainless or nickel, but the blue on the 10-5 I got yesterday was so nice, the picture does not do it justice.
