I think bearcat wins the prize.
Good choice, Rex Applegate belonged to the same gun club I do and I discussed fighting knives with him. He said the Sykes Fairbairn was good but it's big weakness was the round grip which tended to slip in the hand when it was wet with blood etc. It was also hard to index the blade in the dark. This is one of the places his knife was different.


Col Rex and me a few years ago. I miss him he was a great man.

The grip was a big reason I picked it. As you say you need a positive index. Nonskid micarta was a plus too. kfjdrfirii

Great knife, but the sheath! Cheezus it's HUGE!

Need a much more form fitting sheath, one belt loop and a loose rivet so the blade can move relative to the loop. Any suggestions?

Already have the knife, just need a sheath.
