I was listening to a local talk radio station this morning, the “second-tier” station, not the one that has Rush, and was surprised to hear an ad for Mech Tech carbine conversions! I’ve heard radio ads for FN handguns, but not this. It was cool to hear gun ads on the radio!

I had one for a 1911 (I think) and one for a G17. I don't have either one any more, maybe one was an itch needing scratching, I suppose the other was a "good deal" or something. Both worked great for a while, the 1911 developed idiosyncrasies and got traded off, the Glock one got sold somewhere. The company was great to deal with, I just outgrew the itch.

Both were, in retrospect and along with two trials with a KelTec SUB 2000, solutions in search of a problem, for me at least.
