this is for tube fed semi-autos using winchester power point ammo: i have had a marlin 99 for a while and recently tried power point ammo in it. when the tube got down to three or four rounds, it would not feed the round up into the feed position. when i took it apart(took the feed mechanizim off the receiver) and hand fed the ammo thru, i noticed the "hole" the ammo has to come up through was very pointed and the power point ammo is a little longer than other .22 LR rounds i had around. it is also a little larger diameter closer to the tip of the bullet. with a little needle file i was able to lengthen and reshape the "hole" to accomadate the power point rounds. they are my favorite round for "squirrels and such". if anyone needs any more detailed info, feel free to email me and i'll send you my phone numbers. lee

First off, Welcome Lee! I've never met you, but if you are ever in the Phoenix area, I'd like to. I'll buy lunch, or dinner.
Neighbor had a similar problem with a Marlin , I'll give him a call. Thanks!
