Has anyone had experience with the old generation of the mr73 made by manurhin vs the new maker of the current mr73. New ones are available but older ones are hard to find. Is the new one the same quality as the old?
According to the collectors that know, They say the new Chapuis MR73 are made on equipment like the old Mulhouse guns. I had two of the current Chapuis guns but sold them due to the end shake. I am not trying to dissuade you from buying one as they are very very fine revolvers with a beautiful finish but I prefer the new Lollar Korth to them. I am sure the amount of endhake on the MR73 is within spec but I did not like it.
