Have just purchased a M1917 Brazilian contract model and was wondering if the current trigger rebound Springs will fit in these as I would like to reduce trigger pull weight slightly without modifying original spring

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! Yes, they should work fine. Have you checked out Wolff Springs? They offer varying strengths of rebound slide springs. But, first, have you polished the rebound slide and mating surfaces on the frame? That will reduce drag considerably and may be all you need. Frog Lube will also help with the friction. In addition, you may want to use Wilson or Wolff reduced power main springs for a lighter trigger pull.

Thanks Wiregrass. I have plenty of different Wolff rebound springs. Wasn't sure if they were the same. Has a great trigger. Just a bit heavy
