I have read that the United States Rifle, Caliber .30-06, Model 1903 (M1903 Springfield) was produced from 1907 to 1949.

I am going to assume if I find one of these dated in 1947, it will be the M1903A3 variant.

My search for an M1903 Springfield (1947) has now ended.

Thank you to those that have helped me on this.

A few 1903A3 were made in 1941, most were made in 1942 and just a few made in 1943. Garand production increased to where the 1903A3 wasn't necessary.
