They were cheap at one time, but that ship has sailed.
Dad had a nice Saginaw carbine that he bought in the 80's for around $200.00 bucks. We shot it quite a bit, and it was a fun pinker, and a great piece of American history.
A few years later he had to retire early, and thought he needed the money worse than the gun.
Sold it to a local wheeler / dealer for $300.00, at a time that my brother and I could not really afford to buy it.
Gone forever, and now it would take $1200 - $1500 to replace it.
