S&W has announced a recall on M&P .380 EZ and 9mm EZ handguns manufactured between 03/01/2020 and 10/01/2020, due to a faulty hammer. "Smith & Wesson has identified a crack in the hammer of two Shield EZ Pistols. In those firearms, the hammer failed to fully engage the sear, causing the round to fire, cycling the slide, and potentially resulting in multiple discharges without depressing the trigger" Go to this web site to see instructions on returning your handgun to be fixed.
