Hi,
A beautiful weapon.
I missed a criterion in my question.
I was looking (now wishing) for all that in the smaller 6+1/7+1 configuration.
The larger models are all on wish list, but right now I'm looking for concealability over capacity.
The whole Shield/Shield Plus/Shield 2.0/etc. was new to me, and I wanted to confirm my not finding it as meaning it had not (yet?) been made.
When I went my Friendly Local Gun Store (FLGS) I was able to handle the 380 EZ, with both grip and thumb safety. Bought it then and there.
Tactically, it replaces a Ruger LCP (1st Gen.), and is marketed in that way.
But the
feel in my hand, given it's dual safeties, iron sights, and amazingly an 8+1 capacity makes it feel like the lightest, sleekest 1911 Commander in the world. I know there is a version which also has an internal hammer (+$US 50.00), but I already decided to go with a striker fired model (my first).
Bear with me please, I'm an OG 1911/revolver guy.
I'm not new to S&W, I've loved their J frames for...decades.
