Hi I’m new here and have just recently bought a 15-22 Pistol. I’m not a fan of having the brace and tube fixed onto the firearm so I had the idea of maybe cutting off the tube with a power tool. My question is will it affect functionality if I was to cut it off? When I broke down the pistol I don’t see any functioning parts that are operating in the are like an ar15 has its buffer tube assembly. I kind of liked the way the old 15-22pistol had the plug. And that’s what I’m aiming to do with this one. Is it possible?

Cutting off the "buffer tube" will not affect the functionality of the 15-22.

Your good to go if that's what you want to do.

All well and good but...If you have any issues you just blew up the S&W warranty...just a thought...
