If you want to try reloading, there is no better cartridge to start with than 45 Colt. For a small investment, you can easily reload 50 to 100 rounds in an hour with just basic equipment. A single stage press or even a Lee Loader tool can make accurate ammo. Just need bullets, powder, primers, cases prepped, and dies setup.

Sometimes I think single stage is the best way. You get the opportunity to visually check the powder level in every cartridge while they're in the loading block.

That’s what I use. A Lee hand loader actually. I moved into an apartment, so I’ve downscaled my equipment. Works fine for a couple hundred rounds.

I've been reloading since the mid 70's and still use single stages presses. I find it relaxing and time is on my side.
