I searched before posting this thread but didn't find an answer.
I was given 150 rounds of 38 special Remington UMC solid lead ammo. They are not the wadcutters but are shaped. I want to shoot them in my 4" 65-3. Will I get lead fouling in my bore? I never have shot anything except FMJ in the piece.
Thanks,
Tom

Possibly, depending on the roughness of the bore. But I would think factory lead rounds won't be too bad in the lead department. If that is the 158 grain lead round nose UMC load, it is only pulling 750 feet per second at the muzzle. I wouldn't think you will get any real leading. Shoot away.
