I'm a newby and have a chance to buy one of these used in original box and all papers with the soft case. It appears to be unfired or very few rounds have been put through it and not a mark or mar on it. Very, very light turn ring. Asking 435.00 out the door. It was made in 96. Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I tend to be practical. (Some say I'm cheap!!! ) But, it might be a little high at $435......for me. I would think that $300-335 would be about right, but, I'm "old school" about pricing. If I can't get a bargain.....I will pass! Others may tell you different, but that's only my opinion.

It sounds like the kind of .38 that would fit right into my collection. I need more nice 'J's. ;) Oh yeah....welcome to the forum! ;) Bob

Not a problem for newer guns. I think "newer" means .....made in the last 40 years!!! +P is what I use in all my .38's. The oldest is a
M-67 made in 1976. The presentday .38spl. +P is weaker than the std. .38 spl. made years ago. There is an post on that very subject, that I suggest everyone should read. ;) Bob
