I have acquired what I believe to be a three screw Combat Masterpiece but I am having trouble verifying that. It has no model number marked on it anywhere and the serial on the butt end of the frame grip has a 3K411XX configuration. Can someone identify this for me please?

welcome01 to the forums from the Wiregrass! Your CM shipped in 1972. So, it should have a Mod. 15-? stamp inside the yoke in front of the cylinder. If it is a CM, it will have either a 2" or 4" barrel with adjustable rear sight and ramped front sight. Pictures will help.

Iggy was joking...but...he's right :). S&W went from K101 to 311K273 before switching to the current SN config of 3 alpha followed by up to 4 numbers.

Here's my pair of M15's. The nickel is an M15-3 and the blue an M15-4. Should look a lot like yours.
