K-32 Masterpiece; another bucket list item checked off.

Just won this tonight. Pretty excited. Now own the fantastic three; K-22, K-32 and K-38. Longtime goal achieved. 5 screw K-32 with the wide rib. Pretty sure this one shipped in 1955. I will know soon. Target stocks are probably not original as the trigger and hammer are not target. Muzzle finish has some wear and there is a ding on the left front corner of the front sight; hope no impact on accuracy. Left stock has been cut down; I guess a previous owner wanted a speed loader cut out. I am guessing those are early 1950's target stocks that have been vandalized.
But I am one happy camper. Will be even happier when the gun gets to my FFL.

The box arrived today. Man was it well wrapped. Box is in excellent condition. As the K-32 was shipped in Jun 1955 I am going to assume it was shipped in a gold box like this one. Nice to have them back together again.

Now you need a SAT and cleaning kit. Probably a copy of the instructions as well. Nice when a plan comes together.
I have ammo for mine, but have yet to shoot it. You have something many S&W folks will never have. Big Larry

Thanks. The manual is due by Friday. It is for a Model 16 but it will have to do until I stumble across a K-32 manual. I have ammo and a SAT and cleaning rod. All that remains is actually shooting a K-32. I hope to accomplish that soon.

I don't think the early K32's came with a manual. Just wax paper, Helpful Hints, and plastic wrapped tools. My early 38 Combat Masterpiece, shipped 11-1953, to Rex Firearms, has everything but the Helpful Hints. Owner probably threw it away, and never fired the gun.
They say the K32 is a very accurate gun. You must be a Happy Camper. Big Larry

For the .32 part of the trio I’m making do with a Model 16-4. Not as if making do with a 16-4 is any kind of hardship.

With a very low mintage, the K32 s always going to be expensive, unless you get lucky at a pawn shop or Cabelas, or from someone selling Dads guns. I gave $2,000 for mine on the Blue Forum several years ago. Folks were lined up to buy it, but I called first and committed. Great investment. Big Larry

I also love the colt officers model, prewar.. Dame situation.. Alot PEOPLE DONT EVEN know they made a 32 officers model.. Same deal, expensive.. So im looking for both companies 32..👍
Not really a 32 fan, but I just sold my 22 prewar Officers Model to a friend. Not really a Colt collector, but I have a few. This is a pre war Official Police 22.
