This is all well and good, but I think we have hijacked and drifted off K22's topic. This thread is about him finding a .32 unicorn. MORE POWER TO YA, K22!!
Thanks Guy. I've done some more research regarding the K32. 3,630 were produced between 1947 and 1973. Of those 2,030 were wide ribbed. So I didn't get a rare one but one of 2,030 is not bad. I do have some ammo for it. Wadcutters to boot so I can get some practice in as soon as it shows up.This is all well and good, but I think we have hijacked and drifted off K22's topic. It appears from that ad you posted that those hammers were special order only. Is that right? Are they all grooved on the sides like in that close up picture of it?These are called "Humpback" hammers. This one is factory installed on my 1940 vintage 38-44 Outdoorsman. Alas, that name has been taken. He/she joined in 2015, lasted three months and not see since.Without further provocation of my esteemed friend in Forums, they were special order starting with, I believe, the Registered Magnums, then for "K" frame targets as well. Probably any handgun of the period. Some had the concentric grooves, while others didn't. The grooves were pretty much standard on the RM Humpbacks. Mine is grooved, pretty much when they were discontinued pre WW2. My 38-44 Outdoorsman is lettered with the hammer and nice set of Magna Stocks. Nuff said. Sorry for the hijack K22. Soon to be renamed K-32. Big Larry
Thank you for taking the time to share. Only if the K38 had the superman hammer could it be better....They are out there....This one is a bit better. Except the K-22 is out of focus.

Congrats...Just won this tonight. Pretty excited. Now own the fantastic three; K-22, K-32 and K-38. Longtime goal achieved. 5 screw K-32 with the wide rib. Pretty sure this one shipped in 1955. I will know soon. Target stocks are probably not original as the trigger and hammer are not target. Muzzle finish has some wear and there is a ding on the left front corner of the front sight; hope no impact on accuracy. Left stock has been cut down; I guess a previous owner wanted a speed loader cut out. I am guessing those are early 1950's target stocks that have been vandalized.
But I am one happy camper. Will be even happier when the gun gets to my FFL.
