K-32 Masterpiece; another bucket list item checked off.

Just won this tonight. Pretty excited. Now own the fantastic three; K-22, K-32 and K-38. Longtime goal achieved. 5 screw K-32 with the wide rib. Pretty sure this one shipped in 1955. I will know soon. Target stocks are probably not original as the trigger and hammer are not target. Muzzle finish has some wear and there is a ding on the left front corner of the front sight; hope no impact on accuracy. Left stock has been cut down; I guess a previous owner wanted a speed loader cut out. I am guessing those are early 1950's target stocks that have been vandalized.
But I am one happy camper. Will be even happier when the gun gets to my FFL.

Congratulations on reaching a goal. You'll have to post a picture of all 3 when you get it

Congratulations, and looking forward to seeing a good pic of those stocks, also. The color looks to be about right for rosewood stocks, or the type that S&W called "Fancy Woods" in their literature.

Well done. I have had to make do with a Model 16-4 to fill the .32 caliber slot. Not that I’m complaining.

I think the wife and I have decided this might be my last purchase. ;)
I might have to sell off the collection a bit in case another "must have" pops up.

Welcome to the K32 Club. I bought mine on the Blue Forum 12 years ago. It is # K 157445, shipped 10-10-1952. It is the heavy Masterpiece. All matching numbers including the stocks. About a good 95%. Have ammo, but have yet to shoot it. Don't like shooting my expensive guns. Big Larry

I was just watching one but went for above my budget. It sold for $2626 and was no where as nice as the one Big Larry posted. It was about the same condition as the one you just won. I'd love to have a K32 with the superman hammer to go with the K22 and K38 I have with that hammer. I think I may never find one at a decent price.

Don't forget the Combat Masterpieces with those hammers. Both 22 and 38. I love the profile of those hammers.
I have been at this for many years now and have most of them, but not the super rare. My K38 Combat, unfortunately has the factory target hammer. Big Larry

I've got the pre-18 4" .22 and next week I pick up a 4" M&P made in '50-'52 with that hammer. I'm watching for a pre-15 4". I've got a 15-3 made in '68 but I want the 5 screw with that hammer.

What is that on? Is it from the factory that way?

These are called "Humpback" hammers. This one is factory installed on my 1940 vintage 38-44 Outdoorsman. Big Larry
