I recently told a friend I had been reflecting on my life. Thinking of things 50 60 years ago but failed to understand why. They stated there is more to look back on than what's left.

Those relationships and memories are very precious. A love for animals prepares you for a successful later life.

Wonderful photo and what a great horse! You lived a very fine youth...

Now, about fitting into that saddle... ?

I’m sure it wouldn’t fit quite the same but it would fit. I actually did about 80% of my riding with a McClellan saddle. Hard as a board but very comfortable at that age and easy on the horse. I still have that too.

Very true. This, is exactly why I'm not concerned about the next big adventure. For those that don't have that animal connection, you are missing out.
