Curious about value of Ithica model M1911A US Army ser. number in the 873,xxx range, research tells me it was made in 1943. Any idea of value?

You might want to go over to jouster.com They have a pretty active forum on military 1911's and my be able to tell you more on what you have and it's value. It will be interesting to see if it is an all original Ithaca or a mix master. A complete, original Ithaca will be worth much more than a mix master. Pictures will help greatly.

Old 1911's are worth $400-$40,000 get an expert opinion........or two.
