Our Republican Governor just signed a law that says Iowans don't need a permit to carry.
Unfortunately my carry permit expires this month and the law doesn't go into effect until 1 July.
The libs are all crying about how people are gonna be shot dead on the streets now.
We shall see.

Would still renew your permit if I were you. It is honored in more states than Constitutional Carry is unless you are planning to never leave the state. Also ,if you have a permit, you do not have to wait at your Dealers for him to run a NCICS check like you will if you do not have one. If NCICS is down or running slow you might have to come back another day to take your purchase home. Fellow Iowan here and 30yr retired reserve officer.

Thanks for the advice.
I know Iowa's carry permit is honored in several other states, although I don't leave God's country very often.

We are going to continue to get our permits. The sheriff needs the money.

Libs all wear tinfoil hats too.... The sky is falling, the sky is falling mantra don't work well. Last time I checked, it was still up there where it was yesterday.
