I periodically update the inventory with photos and all pertinent ifo. This is the update of a "pre-36" I've shown before.

The flat latch and that "knobby" look of the stocks, very cool! Thanks for letting us see it!

Mighty pretty gun and shown off nicely! The lighting in your pic is perfect.

What kind of lighting setup do you use to achieve that soft shadow free effect?

Arkie,
On that flat latch, I used a 1200 watt second "Alien Bee" strobe with a 20" pan reflector and a softening scrim over the pan.
I tilted the strobe, on a light stand, up towards my (mostly) white ceiling and arranged the weapon so the white ceiling was reflected in the sideplate.
I used a white foamcore board on each side to fill any deep shadows.
The Canon EOS 20 camera was on a tripod so, once I found the correct angle for the desired reflected light, I could tighten it all down and assure repeatable results as I bracketed the exposures with f/stops.
I used 2 applcations of unsharp mask at 50% in Photoshop, cropped to size, and, "there she is"!
Thanks for asking,
Mike
