Hello collectors.
I got this revolver as an inheritance and would like to know what model it is, the value and the story behind this piece of art.

It looks like it may be a .38 Double-Action revolver, .38 S&W caliber, 3rd, 4th or 5th Model. There will be a s/n on the butt that would help narrow it down, including approximate date of manufacture.

edit:

I don't see a pinned front sight, so if that is the case it that may narrow it down to 5th model. About 15,000 of those were made from 1909 to ~1911.

That serial number would make it the 3rd model, not the 5th. ~1884-1895, but that model should have a pinned front sight, like the one below (from a closed auction). Hopefully someone else will take a look soon.

There`s a pin on the left side of the revolver. Is that you mean?

Yes! That was what I could not see in the other pics. So, Pinned front sight and s/n, 3rd model, .38 S&W, 1884-1895. First double-action .38 caliber S&W made. Hopefully someone can help with the engraving and the stocks.

I believe the engraving style is called "Floral Scroll", and also New York Style, and looks like it may be from the same period, late 19th Century.

Unfortunately I can't be much help with a price. It is an antique gun, and values are not predictable, even in the US, and especially engraved. There are not many sales recorded online to base a value on. Second, the condition is hard to judge from pics alone. Finally, the value in your country could be very different.
