Things I learned on the way to some place else.
Was scrubbing out the internals of the Smith & Wesson Model 642 today. The hammer sports a fully machined single action sear so I manipulated it to bring the revolver to full cock. The silly thing has a really nice single action trigger! I didn't know these were capable of this. Who'd a' thunk it?! This is a Model 642-1 I purchased in spring of 1998. I've had it apart before but never noticed this.
Now if I could only thumb it back somehow when it is all buttoned up.
